Keen runners have until 7pm Sep 6 hours to make applications, and wait for the ballot results to be announced on Sep 21. In 2017, 74,000 runners took part across all distance categories, while many thousands more would did not get to do it.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with Hong Kong Tourism Board, Singapore-based TLC will be giving away 4 guaranteed full marathon distance slots in a lucky draw. <\/p>\n<p>TLC would be conducting a series of \u201dStrength &#038; Fitness 2017\u201d workshops on the weekend of Sep 16 to 17 at Singapore Polytechnic. Especially for newbies, there is always the myth that training with long runs only will get you to complete your first marathon. However, this often neglects the body strengthening and conditioning required to complement a structured training approach.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Palka, an Adjunct Professor at Heisei University, Japan will be conducting this workshop.  He is an experienced lecturer, curriculum designer and has many fitness, strength and nutrition certificates under his belt.
